Dear Friends and Family:
How are you? I’m having a great time at Central High School this year. I have been involved with my school’s journalism program, and I am so excited about all the new things I’ve been learning.
This summer I have a chance to attend the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association Summer Journalism Workshop. I’ll spend a week at Michigan State University working hands-on with some of the best journalism teachers in the country. This is a great opportunity for me, and I’m really excited.
The cost of the workshop is around $450, which covers my room and board and all of my classes and activities. My staff is working on fundraisers like bake sales and car washes to help raise the money needed for the camp. I’m saving my money, as well.
Another way I can raise money for this camp is through individual support. Would you consider supporting me with a small donation? The camp has set up a website that makes it very easy to do so.
