Campaign Story

Clague Publications is a student-run organization at Clague Middle School in Ann Arbor which publishes the school’s newspaper, The Cougar Star, as well as its yearbook, Paw Prints.

Students working on The Cougar Star cover news and how it relates to Clague, as well as sports events, music performances, and other aspects of student life. Working on the newspaper helps students practice interviewing other people, writing, editing, and photography – all skills that are necessary in journalism.

At Paw Prints, students help to design the layout of Clague’s yearbook, as well as fill it with content by taking pictures, interviewing students and staff, and writing about class activities, clubs, and other aspects of being a student at Clague. The purpose of Paw Prints is to capture students’ memories of the school year – the relationships and knowledge they have gained, and the obstacles that they have risen above.

By donating to Clague Publications, you can help students at The Cougar Star and Paw Prints cover the topics that are important to the Clague community, record cherished memories, and make a positive impact on the students of Clague for years to come. Funds raised will go toward getting a critique and feedback on their publication and for submitting for awards, as well as participation in other MIPA programs.
